Welcome! Our show within a show!
We are joining the celebration of the Condo Association’s “Continental Breakfast” show with the final product of “Happy Hard Core” our year long core studio class taught by Elena Ailles, Ryan Douglas Coffey and Daniel Luedtke at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Contemporary Practices Department. In lou of Daniel’s contextual artistic decision, the student’s work will be displayed in front of enlarged government (name change) documents. In doing so this juxtaposes emerging young artists discovering and claiming their identities as public artists for the first time. Both shows celebrate the work of one year in production: the Condo Association being their first year anniversary and SAIC’s students’ first completed year of school and artistic practice.
