For the final event at its Morgan street location of the past two years, Site Red is thrilled to present a solo exhibition of work by New York-based artist Roger Buttles.

This series of monumentally-scaled scrolls is a pictorially rich exploration of themes of untimely loss and the enduring, restorative power of love. Utilizing inventive compositional structures, vibrant color, and a densely layered amalgam of personal symbolism and visual fragments pulled from memory, this body of work is a generous look inside the artistic process, and how it is shaped and fueled by life events both tragic and exuberant.
