Rubberneck is pleased to present In The Near Distance,
a solo exhibition of original work by Pete Willson.
Willson is an up and coming Outsider Artist showing in Chicago. Recent highlights include group exhibitions at Chicago’s Hokin Gallery, Fluxx Gallery and Center Space. Willson was one of six selected to exhibit in the highly competetive Pougialis Fine Art Competition, and participated in the 2017 Terrain Exhibitions in Oak Park.
Willson’s raw style and emotive quality make for an intimate exhibition of paintings, sculpture and modified objects, placed “in the near distance.”
It is with sentiment that I celebrate that which is concealed– the old, the wooden, the imagined, the mysterious; the dreamlike memories that so often hide beneath the fabric of our severe understanding.
