The Arts Club of Chicago is pleased to present the needle, the haystack, the thread, a group exhibition of works by international artists Aboubakar Fofana, Lala Meredith-Vula and Britta Marakatt-Labba—all exhibited for the first time in Chicago—and the late Maria Lai.
Join us for an Opening Reception on March 15th from 6 – 7:30 p.m. in the Main Gallery at The Arts Club of Chicago, free and open to the public.
The exhibit is guest curated by Monika Szewczyk, formerly of documenta 14, who brings together textiles, photography, and graphic arts to reconsider the ties between traditional artisanal techniques and a sense of rootedness in society and environment. The exhibit is open to the public from March 15-May 19.
The Arts Club of Chicago is located at 201 East Ontario Street. Exhibitions are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Tuesday- Friday 11:00 am – 6:00 pm, and Saturday 11:00 am – 3:00 pm.
