ABOUT THE ARTIST:
I make globes that look like planets, moons, and stars. My art combines sciences like astronomy with abstract art. I also make paintings, drawings, collages, and painted rocks. I was exposed to art at a young age because both my parents have a bachelors degree in art. Much of my art is Surrealism, Expressionism, and other forms of abstract art. A lot of my pieces have a three-dimensional quality. First, I visualize an abstract image in my mind, then I draw a rough sketch of it on paper, then I make the piece by hand or by computer.
My goal is to make good art and sell it at an affordable price. In a time of rising prices and stagnant wages it is important for artists to sell their art at a price that most people can afford. That way people who aren’t rich can have art in their home.
ABOUT THE GALLERY:
We are a gallery founded in 2015 on Chicago’s North Side focusing primarily on local artists. The gallery has paintings, collages, photographs, jewelry, sculpture, globes, and shirts for sale. The gallery includes the outdoor Sculpture Garden and some sidewalk sculptures.
To get to Rogers Park Art Gallery take the red line, get off the train at Morse, and walk one block south on Glenwood. It is on the west side of the train tracks.
Hope to see you there and have a wonderful day!
