About Nicole Melanie
http://www.mindfulindulgences.com/
Nicole founded Mindful Indulgences in 2014. A collection of conscientiously crafted & consciously curated fair-trade organic vegan artisan confections was created out of an awareness of how food impacts our well-being and quality of life. Each indulgence is made with fairly traded cacao and spices that support small scale farmers as well as locally sourced ingredients that contribute to a more sustainable local food system within the Chicagoland area. The nutritional value of each truffle is as much about the healthful nutrient rich ingredients used as it is about the ingredients they do not contain. The highest quality chocolate and Ayurvedic spices are selected with the confidence that each confection is healthful and sustainable. Throughout the three past years, Mindful Indulgences has aligned with local organizations like liftUPlift and YWCA that are committed to wellness and financial empowerment of young girls and women. In the spring of 2017, Vegan Woman Made launched for majority woman + femme identified owned, produced and operated plant based and cruelty free small businesses to share their creative enterprise, healing services and products in a dedicated seasonal marketplace. As an event organizer, I set the intention to create access for women entrepreneurs to sustain business growth and create possibilities for economic empowerment.
