Artists Connect: Bit Bash—Interactive Influence
@ The Art Institute of Chicago
111 S Michigan Ave, Griffin Court, Chicago, IL 60603
Opening Thursday, February 1st, from 6PM - 7PM
Bit Bash, Chicago’s alternative video game festival, presents Interactive Influence, a program highlighting digital work by emerging game designers and digital artists that respond to artworks on display from the Art Institute’s collection.
Artists Connect is a new series of in-gallery programs that highlight the creative process. Artists, poets, dancers, and musicians engage with works of art, making connections to their own practice and inspiring new ways of understanding the Art Institute’s collection.
*Museum admission is free for Illinois residents every Thursday, 5:00–8:00—including during this event.
About the artist:
Founded in Chicago in 2014, Bit Bash was established to further the culture of independent game development in the city by hosting large, public-facing events. Their aim is to highlight games that offer unique experiences and promote community and an artistic statement
