Opening Saturday, December 16th, from 11AM - 1PM
On view through Sunday, January 7th
As a part of Pope. L’s “Brown People are the Wrens of the Parking Lot” campaign/exhibition exploring immigration, D’onminique Boyd will be hosting a conversation centering the narratives and voices of African-Americans over the age of 60. This is an intimate conversation encouraging inter-generational dialogue exploring deeply rooted issues involving southern migration, immigration and international travel from the perspective of elders.
Please join us Saturday, December 16th from 11:30-1p in the exhibition gallery at the Logan Center for the Arts for this conversation. All are welcome but we are particularly looking to hear from African-Americans over the age of 60.
This conversation will be a part of a series of ongoing workshops taking place throughout 2018 promoting cross-cultural relationships and international curiosity for diverse generations of African-Americans.
