The Smart Museum has been inundated with boxes of blankets for Welcome Blanket! Help us unpack, document, and prepare the blankets for display at this unpacking party.

Volunteers welcome!

Drop in for as long as you can. No experience or prior training is necessary, the process will be taught to you.

About Welcome Blanket
This crowd-sourced project from Jayna Zweiman reimagines the length of the proposed US-Mexico border wall as a tapestry of handmade blankets. The evolving display at the Smart Museum (through December 17) features knit, crocheted, and quilted blankets sent from around the world with accompanying notes of welcome for immigrants and refugees.
