Written, edited, produced (mostly from his work as a New York City cab driver!), directed, and starring Christopher Scott Cherot’s Hav Plenty is a 90s indie gem. Inspired by his own life, the story centers a struggling and homeless writer who’s invited to the New Year’s Eve party of an old friend, the wealthy Havilland Savage (Chenoa Maxwell). Having secretly loved for years, the night leads to romantic complications that also involve Hav’s boyfriend, Michael Simmons (Hill Harper) and her sister, Leigh (Robinne Lee).
Join us November 17th for the film and a post – screening discussion focusing on themes such as onscreen depictions of Black romance!
The event is free of charge, no RSVP required.
