Gallery Weekend Chicago’s announces its 7th annual gallery festival which features the best of Chicago’s emerging and established galleries focused on contemporary art. Chicago is the only ‘gallery weekend’ in the U.S., along with our numerous partners in Europe (Berlin, Brussels, Paris…), Mexico and Asia.
This year GWC will present a curated list of gallery openings from a diverse cross-section of the city including West Loop, West Town, River North, Logan Square, South Loop and Pilsen. As well a program of gallery organized- artists talks, screenings and performances in their galleries to promote each individual gallery program as well as to promote the production and presentation of challenging contemporary art here in Chicago.
All events are free and open to the public.
