Tune into a re-broadcast of a conversation between Chicago Icon Studs Terkel and acclaimed activist Dolores Huerta transmitted in conjunction with the exhibition ¡Sí, Se Puede! at Columbia College Chicago’s Glass Curtain Gallery located at 1104 S. Wabash Ave. The broadcast will air twice on Lumpen Radio, WLPN-LP 105.5FM at Noon on 11/3 and 11am on 11/4 .
In 1975, Dolores Huerta sat with Studs Terkel to discuss her work organizing the United Farm Workers to increase wages, improve working conditions, protect workers from grower intimidation, and stop the use of pesticides that were poisoning workers and causing birth defects in their children as well as health effects in consumers.
