Nov 17th 2017

Join members of The Arts Club for a special evening concert with Chartreuse String Trio.

Wine Reception & Dinner Buffet 6:00 pm | Concert 7:00 pm

Chatreuse is a tricoastal ensemble uniquely devoted to repeat performances and developing the string trio repertoire through adventurous commissions for new works. The trio has toured extensively in the U.S. and abroad and will perform music by Finnish composer (and first woman to premiere an opera at the Met in over 100 years) Kaija Saariaho, Italian composer Salvatore Sciarrino, London-based Chicago native Aaron Holloway-Nahum, and New York violinist/composer Lea Asher. Follow projects of Asher’s stunning graphic score as a visual compliment to an immersive osund world and bathe in Sciarrino’s steadily shifting sonorities. Chartreuse brings both vigor and sensitivity to contemporary string music for what promises to be an enthralling performance.

This concert will be held in The Arts Club of Chicago’s historic Salon, a space that has played host to thousands of performances by some of the most memorable names in performing, visual, and literary arts throughout the past century. The Salon is also decorated with the items from the Permanent Collection of The Arts Club of Chicago, including rare works by Sigmar Polke, Pablo Picasso, Natalia Goncharova, and Francis Picabia.

$60.00 per person | Ticket includes wine reception, dinner, and concert.

**TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE AND ARE IN LIMITED QUANTITY**
