The Logan Center for the Arts in partnership with the Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago present Performing Black Masculinities: Where, How and for Whom?
In this public conversation artists, activists and scholars will present their work, offer up personal experiences, and discuss places of intersection as they collectively address notions of black masculinity. The panel will examine the ways black masculinities are activated across geography, generation and nationality, its relevance to sexualities, community, individuals and personhood.
The panelists include Professor and COCo. Dance Theatre Artistic Director Dr. Cynthia Oliver, Professor Raquel Monroe, Artist Roger Bonair-Agard, Artist Arif Smith and Journalist, Media Personality Dometi Pongo. The session will be moderated by Activist and Artist Ayinde Jean-Baptiste.
