New Capital is very excited to present a solo exhibition of new works by Vienna based artist Siggi Hofer.
EVERY PIECE OF ART HAS IT’S OWN TITLE is Hofer’s second solo presentation in the states and his first in Chicago.
Please join us this Friday, September 15th from 7-10 PM for the opening reception. The artist will be present.
Siggi Hofer (b. Brunico, Italy) is a Vienna-based artist represented by Galerie Meyer Kainer in Europe. Recent solo exhibitions include MY MOTHER SOLD CIGARETTES IN THE MOUNTAINS at Kai Matsumiya Gallery, New York, “Woof/ 1970-1992 u. 2014” at Galerie Meyer Kainer in Vienna, “LAB” at ES-Gallery in Merano/Meran, and “I wish I were a stone” at Temporary Gallery in Cologne. He participated in the International Studio and Curatorial Program, New York (2015), is the recipient of the Award for Art Practice of the City of Innsbruck, Austria (2012), the Paul Flora Award (2010) and the 2009 Msgr. Otto Mauer Award, Vienna.
