Interested in the fascinating history and process of natural Indigo dyeing? Have a garment or fabric yardage that you would like to dye a beautiful organic blue hue?
Join Yumuko Workshop and Plant Chicago at The Plant for a Natural Indigo Dye Workshop!
This two-hour workshop begins with a discussion on the history and practice of indigo dyeing. You’ll have the opportunity to tie, fold, and/or twist your piece into a unique resist. As dyeing begins, we’ll play a partner game asking participants to consider concepts in sustainability and fashion. You’ll leave with a beautiful remade indigo garment/textile and enhanced knowledge of sustainability!
All dye ingredients will be provided.
Please bring your own cloth or garment to dye.

Participants also have the option to purchase a discounted ticket to tour The Plant at 2pm.
