(Undated poem, Jane Addams to Mary Rozet Smith)

Bring Chicago history out of the closet! Join us on August 30 at 1:00 PM for a tour of Hull-House and explore early 20th century stories of gender non-conformity, diverse definitions of family andfriendship, and fierce self-expression. Hull-House was world-renowned for supporting immigrants and world peace, but did you know it paved the way for LGBT rights? We will consider how history connects with today’s struggles for social justice and how we might expand our own notions of gender and
sexuality. Free, RSVP not required.
