Opening Saturday, August 5th, from 6PM - 10PM
On view through Wednesday, August 30th
Please join us for the opening reception of “Brotha,” an exhibition curated by Ashley King.
Brotha sheds light to the ramifications of racial oppression amongst black men. Looking at the work of six artists, we start to pick apart the assimilation, angst, despondency, and absence that surrounds these men, their families, and communities. Living in a society that constructs black bodies as a threat, this exhibition aims to rehumanize black men and their emotional experiences.
