Estación Brutalísima is a unique 3-day musical performance program that will showcase 3 local Latinx bands that explore heavy, loud sounds in various ways. In contrast to Comfort Station’s usual musical programming which emphasizes intimate performances, Estacíon Brutalisima wiIl use the active acoustics of our space as an amplifier to reach an audience outside of our building. In keeping with the dynamic and creatively stimulating programming offered by Comfort Station, Estación Brutalísima is an innovative vision to bring diverse musical experiences to our audiences and to activate our space for Latino community participation in an open and accessible environment.

Cabrona is a high-energy bilingual punk band that aims to unravel hidden stories with a sound that acknowledges lineages to Latin America and the disruption of belonging to two different cultures. The 4-piece band (including a mariachi violinist) incorporates various styles to shape a unique sound that speaks to underrepresented narratives on stage and in the music world.

Los Black Dogs is a Mexican rock n roll band from Chicago. Born and raised in Mexico, the band draws its influences from old rock and roll from the 60`s and 70`s. The music has the swing, swagg, attitude, rhythm, and the big balls of rock n’roll. Los Black Dogs is not a vintage rock and roll band, but a new band that plays rock and roll.

Espejos is a Chicago based punk band with a post-punk influenced sound, powerhouse drumming, and aggressive musical energy.
