In celebration of Earth Week, Hummingbird Studios is proud to present: Animal Other. The animal represents that which is unknown or uncontrolled. A person letting go, becomes animal. It is the strangeness that is forbidden while also desired; a mysterious side of the human. It is sometimes feral and fearsome, but can also be raw and vulnerable. The works in this exhibition deal with the strangeness and intensity of confronting the animal that exists within our humanity.
The exhibition includes works by:
Erin Cramer, Katelan Foisy, Peyton Johnson, Tim Kellen, and Rebecca Memoli.
Each artist employs a skilled balance between horror and humor as they invite viewers to explore the animal inside us all.
Monday, April 17th -21st.

Please join us for a Masquerade Reception on Friday, April 21st from 6pm-9pm
Come dressed as your own ‘animal other’ Masks will also be provided.
