Art and Body: Exploring social and political issues through the art of performance, collage drawing, and zine making.
Mujeres Mutantes Art Collective welcomes Marissa Del Toro in collaboration for this presentation and workshop at The Port Ministries.
We will be discussing works by Regina José Galindo, Wangechi Mutu, and several zine collectives. A fun zine making project will follow.

Marissa Del Toro graduated in 2016 with an MA in Art History from the University of Texas at San Antonio, with an overall focus on the modern and contemporary art of Latin American, Latinx, and US artists. She is currently a 2016-2017 Getty Graduate Intern, where she is part of the Getty Foundation’s Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA initiative in the Getty Research Institute’s Director’s Office and the Research Projects and Programs Department.
