The O’Connor Art Gallery is pleased to present Past and Present: Artwork by Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters, an exhibition featuring the work of Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters, celebrating the 800th Jubilee of the founding of the Dominican Order of Preachers. The opening reception for the exhibition will take place on Wednesday, January 25 from 4-7pm, and will be preceded by a conversation with Sister Priscilla Wood, OP, curator at the Sinsinawa Mound Center, at 3pm.
Following the 800th Jubilee of the founding of the Dominican Order, Past and Present celebrates the creativity and artwork by past and contemporary Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters. The exhibition includes artwork by several Dominican Sisters, spanning the 20th and 21st centuries. The exhibtion displays artistic mediums from portraiture, woodblock printing, oil painting, and many more, all with a focus on faith and spirituality that reflect the mission of the Sinsinawa Dominican order.
