Dec 9th 2016

The QiQi is a site specific tea party that merges musical performance, experimental monologues, and mixed media installation with holistic health for an intimate and interactive experience at a dinner table. While enjoying a curated flight of hand selected medicinal tea blends, the audience selects from the menu which acts will be performed each night making each experience unique and improvisational.

This showcase prompts conversations on the relationships between ancestral knowledge in contrast to our current events and pop culture in a musical Neo-Futurist approach to storytelling.

The night’s theme, “There’s never a moment when you’re not practicing something”.

The motif explores the relationship between memory, pattern, and belief and it’s subsequent outcomes in our body and in our lives.

Featured Performances by KI, Darling Shear, and Brandon Holmes accompanied by the dancers of Cabin Fever Live Dance Company along with an Afrobeat orchestra of live beat producers with Panamanian Drummer Daniel Villareal.
