@ gallery no one
1579 N Milwaukee Ave,RM303, Chicago IL 60622
Opening Friday, December 16th, from 5PM - 8PM
On view through Sunday, December 18th
gallery no one is proud to present Meng Sun’s solo exhibition, “Untitled ( it only takes 5 days to sprout )”, an installation that includes paintings, ceramics, and GROWING GARLIC.
Sun offers an environment that mimics her mental space: uncertainty, absurdity, and chaos in the contemplation of Being. Unable to provide an answer to or complete description of questions about Being’s so-called “negative moods”, such as anxiety, perplexity, boredom, and shame, she provides her thoughts about the rejection for a fixed state of mind. These scattered elements, paintings, ceramics, and garlic, carry narratives about her migration from hometown and her psychological feelings about instability.
The viewers can do anything to the exhibition space, which allows the potentiality of recreating different situations in their minds.
