MUSIC, DRINKS, POP UP SHOPS & ART TOURS
Join us at Lacuna Artist Lofts for ART PARTY, our monthly second Friday art opening!
The October feature, The Longest Night That Ever Was, is the first solo exhibition of works by artist Steve Badauskas.
This collection of drawings on paper, in pen and ink or marker, spans several years of working as a self-taught artist. Badauskas’ aesthetic comes from a place of solitude, surreal waking-dreams, and a keen sense of humor; often working in fits and starts and using his bar as a desk (Badauskas owns Bernice’s Tavern, a Bridgeport neighborhood award-winning dive bar). Join us for the opening reception with the artist from 7-10 pm, with live music and refreshments.
Exhibition runs through October 30, 2016.
Tour the 5 floors of curated public spaces, with new murals in and outside of the building. Check out the first floor galleries, open studios and pop-up shops of Lacuna Chicago.
