Welcome to Chicago Gallery News’ gallery tour!
You’ve discovered one of the city’s best kept secrets. Enjoy visiting four different River North galleries on a Saturday morning with a local gallery representative. Your tour guide will teach you about the history of the area, which boasts the highest concentration of galleries in Chicago. This week the tour will go to Ann Nathan Gallery, Ken Saunders Gallery, Catherine Edelman Gallery, Andrew Bae Gallery
A former manufacturing area, what is now known as River North is Chicago’s creative epicenter.
Today, over 40 galleries are within walking distance of the intersection of Superior and Franklin, about a mile west of Michigan Avenue. Each tour sample contemporary paintings, works on paper, photography, glass, sculpture, and ceramics.
Regular tours are free and meet every Saturday, except major holiday weekends, at the Starbucks located at 750 N. Franklin. No reservations required. For private tours up to 20 people, please contact CGN.
