Starring Robert De Niro and Jeremy Irons, The Mission (1986) is set during the Jesuit Reduction, a program run by Jesuit missionaries in the 18th century to teach Christianity to the indigenous peoples of South America. Introduction and discussion of film led by Mark Bosco, S.J., Associate Professor of English and Theology at Loyola University Chicago.
