The University of St. Francis Art Gallery will be hosting an artist lecture featuring Paul Schranz, a Professor Emeritus of Art, Governors State University. This event is free and open to the public.

Schranz currently resides in NM, where his work was recently included in the 2015 Regional Exhibition, Here and Now, Las Cruces Museum of Art; a solo show at the West End Art Depot, Las Cruces; and at the Tularosa Basin Photographic Society Gallery, Carrizozo. An exhibition at the Wash Park Art Gallery, Cincinnati, OH is scheduled in May, 2017. Work was previously included in the Not the Obvious exhibition, Argonne National Laboratory Gallery, Chicago; and Photography: The Full Spectrum exhibition, Carter House Gallery, Redding, CA, 2014. His landscape portfolio was featured in Black & White magazine, August 2013 edition.

In addition to a 44-year academic career, Schranz was a contributor to photo technique magazine for three decades, serving as editor 2010 -11. He was Director of the Preston Contemporary Art Center and Mesilla Digital Imaging Workshops, Mesilla, NM and has served as juror and judge for numerous photographic competitions, most recently the El Paso Texas Art Association’s 2015 International Eye of the Camera exhibition. A frequent keynote speaker, Schranz exhibits his work nationally.
