Contracts of all kinds shape the foundation of most working artists’ careers. In this contract clinic, attorney Patrice Perkins will discuss the anatomy of a contract, negotiables v. non-negotiables, as well as common pitfalls/issues and how to avoid them. Negotiation tactics and the fundamentals of the negotiation process will also be covered.

As an exercise, participants will be provided with sample contracts to work through the process of identifying red flags so that they know what to look for in the real world.
