GAG Space (AKA Garden Apartment Gallery, a DIY space in Chicago’s Garfield Park neighborhood) invited Chris Hefner to curate and exhibit in their spring show and he’s pulled together a few of his very favorite Chicago artists for FIVE WAYS TO SKIN A CAT. The show will feature new work by Chris Day, Heather Gabel, Billie Howard, Anthony Vizzari and Chris Hefner. This show addresses the notion of collage. Whether directly or otherwise, everyone exhibiting is engaged in the appropriation and modification of existing source material to create new images, sounds and experiences.
