Comfort Station is proud to present photographer Cengiz Yar as part of our Comfort Society Lecture Series.
Cengiz will be presenting a selection of his work from the Middle East and speaking about his experiences documenting the wars in Iraq and Syria and the ongoing refugee crisis. There will be a Q/A session after the presentation and a limited number of prints for sale.
Cengiz is currently based between Logan Square and Iraq. He is an Ambassador for the Matador Network and a board member of the Frontline Freelancer Registry. He is a 2013 NPPA Short Grant Winner and was awarded ONA’s inaugural 2015 James W. Foley award for conflict freelancers.
Comfort Society is a weekly lecture series held Sundays at 1 during the Logan Square Farmer’s Market. Lecture topics range from the useful to the unexpected. Sponsored by Intelligentsia Coffee.
