Adventures in Irresponsible Archiving: A Gallery Talk by Nicholas Osborn
@ Comfort Station
2579 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, Illinois 60647
Opening Saturday, June 25th, from 5:30PM - 6:30PM
Join collector and co-curator of the exhibition Nicholas Osborn for a gallery talk/conversation. Come watch Nick flop sweat as he tries to confront uncomfortable issues like the collector as archivist, or worse, the collector as artist. He’ll be bringing along a load of additional materials to distract you from asking the difficult questions but make no mistake- All secrets will be revealed! Or at least all secrets directly related to vernacular photography.
Nicholas Osborn is a home hobbyist who has been collecting vernacular photographs for almost 20 years. He is also the co-author of Who We Were: A Snapshot History of America.
