Pout is a collaboration between visual artist Madhuri Shukla, dancer Megan Amal, and soul-singer Carlita Gay. The artists worked simultaneously, but separately, to distill months of conversations and young lifetimes of lessons learned late into image, motion, and sound. The result is material that is both dynamic and solid. Pout invites consideration on the permanence of self and serves as an artifact of communal identity formation.
