4am
The hour of the wolf
No room for reason
my waking dream
Still the same
Felt like yesterday
Felt like summer
Death comes but does not take
Let drag
The clock stopped ticking in June
The sun has drifted and excreted it’s snow upon my feet
Our path was one, the fork that dropped,
broken prong that set me aside.
I dream of the queen I slept on,
thinking of it as a fable I should have learned from
“I have nothing to speak to you about”, is what I say to the beautiful Ofelia.
While the world was still ahead of her
Distracted from accomplishing something greater.
Water soaked my sleeves
collecting and absorbing more than it can hold
dripping back down into my eyes.
The green path of virtue became
the green chemical which killed my grandfather.
Washed with the burden, purified by the water Jordan,
soaked with any reason.
Rooms of innocence turn ruin and rooms of temptation empty and forget.
Where is the joke now, wagging it’s fluffy yet unassuming tail.
Simple minds produce simply.
I am the Saytre, the woodland sex deviant
revealed under Linus’ blanket of wept truth.
Luring you deeper into the chasm, just like Klein,
either man or bottle, leading you through an empty vessel.
You’re guilt and sympathy fan the flame as it asks for more.
Come with me then
But say no more
I won’t speak either
Take my hand
Let’s walk
With this
And now
I make three promises
The sun will always come back and shine on your face.
The moon will always rise with grace.
And if they don’t, you are with me in another place.
