cornerstore is pleased to announce 2 Tambours, a group exhibition of work by Danny Floyd and Jeff Prokash.
Danny Floyd is an artist living and working in Chicago, IL. Floyd holds an MA in Visual and Critical Studies, and an MFA in Sculpture both from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He currently teaches in the Visual and Critical Studies and Sculpture departments at SAIC. He is the programming director for an artist-run space in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood called Ballroom Projects and a regular contributor to Serpentine Magazine. Floyd’s work has appeared in the solo exhibition It’s Hard to Explain, Because It’s Easy to Understand at the Red Eye Gallery, Providence, RI, as well as in group exhibitions at Sullivan Galleries, Ballroom Projects, Co-Prosperity Sphere in Chicago, IL, and at AS220 in Providence, RI.
Jeff Prokash lives and works in Chicago, IL. Prokash received a BFA in Art and Art History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MFA from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago. His work has been reviewed in Hyperallergic, Serpentine Magazine and The Seen. Prokash has attended a residency in China where he produced a public sculpture for the government of the Shanxi Provence in the city of Taiyuan. His work has appeared in the group exhibition General Objects at the Ballroom Projects in Chicago, IL, as well as in group exhibitions at Studio 424, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Heaven Gallery in Chicago, IL, and at Fjord in Philadelphia, PA.
