EVERYTHING IS TEXT is a character-driven, interactive exhibition with a hyper-local platform for you to submit your message for Morse-code interpretation and re-presentation as color. The exhibition is a mouthpiece. You are encouraged to type in and submit your haikus, non sequiturs, and mini-manifestos on your mind, for an immersive visual environment lasting 24 hours a day at the Comfort Station.
EVERYTHING IS TEXT presents new works and installation by Jon Chambers.
Jon Chambers’ work focuses on the production of art through technological objects, software, and networked interfaces while aestheticizing experiences of saturation, obsessions, and contradictions. He uses a range of mediums and has shown work nationally and internationally. Chambers currently teaches at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the University of Illinois at Chicago.
