Opening Friday, May 23rd, from 6PM - 9PM

Gratification is an exhibition that addresses the relationships that exist among food, politics, and desire. Using food as a platform, the six artists in the show explore issues such as identity politics, morality, cultural inclusivity, and sexual objectification. Gratification is an extended dialogue about how food operates as a metaphor that reveals the way that we relate and transform ourselves.
Participating artists: Molly Hewitt, Annelies Kamen, Jedediah Johnson, Billy McGuiness, Leonard Suryajaya, and Hyounsang Yoo.
The exhibition is organized by Tie Jojima, Eric Lengsouthiphong, Kyle Riley, Nhung Walsh, and Danyu Xu (School of the Art Institute of Chicago) in collaboration with the Chicago Urban Art Society.
Public Viewing Gallery hours: Friday and Saturday from 12-5pm, by appointment on weekdays. Open from May 23-June 13.
