On the eve of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Pop-Up Art Loop presents photographers Jon Pack and Gary Hustwit’s The Olympic City project, which examines the legacy of the Olympic Games in former host cities around the world.
The Olympic City project combines the work of two acclaimed artists. Hustwit, an independent filmmaker and photographer based in New York and London, is known for directing and producing the design documentaries Helvetica (2007), Objectified(2009) and Urbanized (2011), and has also worked with punk label SST Records. Pack, a Booklyn-based photographer, has exhibited his work in galleries in the U.S. and Europe, in addition to appearing on book covers from publishers including Simon & Schuster and Random House.
Free and open to the public. Complimentary beverages included at opening.
Gallery hours are Monday – Friday, 12 – 7 pm
In Block 37 across from the Oriental Theatre.
