On January 6, MCA Chicago hosts the artist Stan Douglas, whose 1986 film installation Overture is currently on display in The Way of the Shovel. Douglas discusses the trajectory of his work over the past 25 years. The Canadian artist’s films, photographs and installations—notable for their breadth and complexity—illuminate deep political and social concerns.
