Apr 18th 2013

The Fine Arts Program and Portfolio Center at Columbia College Chicago invite you to a visit the studios of our BFA students amid in-progress work that will culminate in their 2013 BFA Fine Art Exhibition. This festive open house is a great opportunity to meet and talk with over 20 progressive young artists working in a variety of media, and socialize with others in Chicago’s fine art community in the friendly atmosphere of our studio complex.

See what Columbia’s Fine Arts students are exploring and producing, from innovative painting and drawing to new media and hybrid artforms. Share working perspectives, talk shop with students about to make thesis decisions and enter the professional arena.

Afterward, join us for the opening reception of Point of Departure at Columbia’s Arcade Gallery, a special collaborative exhibit featuring BFA candidates from Columbia and established Chicago-area artists, reflecting a continuity from academia into the professional art community.

5:00-8:00pm: Open Studios at 1006 S Michigan
7:30-10:00pm: Point of Departure at 618 S Michigan
