Comprising multiple materials, techniques, colors and textures, Allison Wade’s seemingly delicate pieces work through formal concerns and private editorial processes to arrive at their final structure. Displayed together in a room, Wade’s pieces invite a broader reconsideration of space, boundary and gravity that speaks to, in her words,
“hope as well as physics.”
That “room” is the rooftop of Lillstreet Art Center and that reconsideration will be had by 40 of us as we discuss Wade’s work over casual BBQ by the ever-inventive, always delicious X-marx.
